This one-of-a-kind pillow is a harmonious blend of global textiles making a difference in communities around the world.
The center panel is made from vintage Huipil, a traditional hand-loomed garment worn by Mayan women. It is pieced together with panels of hemp, which are produced by the Hemp Foundation, a non-profit that promotes alleviation of poverty through the cultivation of hemp in remote villages in India. Lastly, the fabrics come together in North Carolina where they are assembled through an operation which employs Afghan refugees.
