Panier Tote Bold

The Panier Tote is a meticulously crafted basket from Madagascar, blending durable vetiver and soft cotton for a natural yet sturdy construction. Enhanced with leather accents, it offers both style and functionality. Fully lined and featuring an interior pocket and drawstring closure, this basket provides organized storage while reflecting expert craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

Vetiver is grown in tropical areas, including Madagascar. It has traditionally been used as roofing for the Malagasy people, the indigenous people of Madagascar. The top portion of the plant is grassy, while the root, which can measure 6 meters long, is wiry and coarse. It has a distinct scent which makes it an effective insect repellent and its essence is commonly used in perfumes. The root is washed and dried naturally. To keep its attractive scent, the root fiber remains untreated.
